Meet Dr. Aaron Brinster

Aaron Brinster DDS, MD is a dual board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with advanced expertise in both surgical care and anesthesia. Dr. Brinster is diplomat of both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology (NDBA), demonstrating a dual commitment to surgical excellence and the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.
Dr. Brinster currently serves as President of the Ohio Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (OSOMS) providing leadership and advocacy for the specialty at the state level. In addition, he is chairman of the OSOMS anesthesia committee. Dr. Brinster also acts as an instructor for the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) Office-Based Emergency Airway Management (OBEAM) course, teaching anesthetic safety and emergency airway protocols to oral and maxillofacial surgeons across the country.
With comprehensive training in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Brinster offers a full scope of surgical services, combining technical precision with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. His advanced training in anesthetic options allows him to safely deliver advanced care, ensuring each patient’s experience is comfortable, personalized, and carefully managed.
Dr. Brinster sees patients at both the Sylvania, OH and Monroe, MI locations. In addition to office-based care, Dr. Brinster holds hospital privileges at several regional hospitals. He regularly takes hospital trauma call, providing critical oral and maxillofacial surgical care to patients in the community when it is needed most.
Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Brinster resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan with his wife, Shula, who is also a physician. He is a dedicated University of Michigan sports fan and enjoys spending time with their Nova Scotia duck tolling retrievers.
